No you dont NEED corner weighting but it will only improve it. On a 1.6 maybe not

for the pedantic amongst us:

The suspension was thrown on by a mate of Laura's, lowered to a height that was suitable and looked good and that was it. It handled like a piece of s**t and ate front tryes.

I dont really know much at all about suspension setup, but would assume that the spring and damper rates have a direct effect on what if any camber you should be running so that the car's tyres remain in full contact on the road when cornering? As Laura's wasn't setup I'm guessing this might be the reason for the un-even and quick wear.

When u lower the clio, it gets toe in
if camber is more negative, there is ever more toe in
that is why it ate tyres and handled like crap

if you've gone for FK konigs, then theres NO point whatsoever is corner weighting as the rear springs are too short. so regardless of whatever the suspension place says it cannot be properly done.

paid a VW place to give mine a near stock road setup and i cant complain.

Thats where mines different as i have rear coilovers on my 182 and its mainly the fronts that the adjustment is done as thats where the driver sits. Shows just how much you know!!!

yeah will have been part of it, but no camber was added, it was literally put on, lowered and that's it... not having a car setup properly causes all kinds of drama, I dont understand it anywhere near enough, so leave it to the people that do. Dont mind paying for things like that. Mine's off to Powerstation once it's done to be properly setup and corner weighted.

good lad :) you wont be dissapointed :) all you have to do is take a look at the past 3 years of GP tuner and look who won a majority of the events. Powerstation!!! also in an impreza which was runnin 2-300 hp less than most other cars there. The reason they won is because of the endless hours spent tuning and playin with the suspension settings. Enough so that alot of other companies had started askin them to stup there cars!!!

well, after our conversation yesterday I wont be paying for them to learn the car, ala Pro Sport, it's cheaper for me to drive down to Powerstation and get it setup than go 5 mins down the road! lol.

Are power station good then? They are about 5 mins from me, will take mine there if they are when i fit my coilovers

You will not be dissapointed with powerstation. Curtis is a top bloke. The AST set up on my dads impreza is very impressive! That and his porsche brake setup too!
