Coilovers

Are coilovers just a term for shocks and springs together, or is it something similar that replaces shocks and springs? If I want to lower my 172 and make it handle better what is the best value for money option for me to go for? Can you provide any examples with prices?

If I had the money, I would get coilovers. Im on Apex -40m springs at the moment and they seem OK at the moment but I always want to go lower...!

There shocks with adjustable spring seats so the spring can sit lower on the shock and so handling potential can be increases where normal seat height shocks would become uncomfortable.

Some coilovers are adjustable damping as well but you dont realy need them.

Coilovers are the best mod you can do IMO never mind an extra 50 hp or whatever handling comes first.

Any coilover 172 kit should be fine HR are supposed to be good and about £600 then you need to get them fitted which is between £40 and £90.
