True but fortunatley this is only temporary, as soon as the filter goes on ill push the pipes closer.

Not bad. But you would probably do a lot better by one very simple measure. Stick a valver bonnet on it. It looks like the intake would be right on top of your filter and my testing has shown that there is good high pressure there. If its good enough to keep my turbo cool then its good enough for an air filter. Taking those two pipes over the engine is OK but to be honest, over that length of pipe youre gonna lose some pressure anyway, plus its getting warmed up by the engine, although this wont be a big problem. Best to take air from right there i.e. above the filter. If you dont want to change the bonnet just cut an intake into it.
