I wouldn't bother personally. In order for you to actually get the trumpet to the lower grille, the CAF will be effectively doubling back on itself, drastically reducing it's performance.

IIRC, the best way to 'feed' a Viper is to leave the CAF just short of the mouth. I would then either remove the NSF fog light and run to a trumpet there or personally, I would go straight to the base of the NSF arch liner where there is a convenient vent for your CAF.

I got a viper been told the viper don't give of any extra bhp if not less to do with not enough hot air going in or something, i got mine next to the nsf arch abit disapointing for the price, do you have any sugestions?

remove the fuel rail gaurd at the front and feed the pipe under that area and pointing towards the grill on the left hand side as you look at it, then stick the fuel rail gaurd back on. Job done

To be honest, you will struggle to see a massive increase with any of the filter options. The Viper has a small surface area from what I remember and they do suffer from heat soak. It may be worth taking the Viper off and trying your standard air box with a panel filter and uprated feed.

Have you removed your acoustic valve?

  VX220 Turbo
remove front bumper
remove acustic valve
put cold air pipe where the acoustic valve used to finish

no lower as you dont want to suck up water

i had a play the other day against a friends cup she's got a decat and blueflame exhaust standard filter i've got magnex cat back and viper, have to say mine did pull better than hers

I'd bet you 2 had a good play around with the knobs and that, yes the acustic valve is out, got the viper tube squashed in between like a white plastic nozzle or something back of the head lamp heading into the hole for the air
