Colour-coding Dull Plastic Trims ? Can It Be Done Without Looking Crap !

Hello All...

Looking to colour-code my dull looking plastic trims on my doors and bumpers... can it be DIY done to look professional without the professional price... and is it hardwearing... (I.e. weather, dirt etc.. * No Flaking *)

Any recomendations...

It can be done DIY & look good - if you master the art of prepping & spraying etc. There's a guide on here iirc.

yeah same finish can be achieved with a a spray can! the key to getting it right is prepping the plastics first e.g give them a good rub them all down with red scotch pads,clean with panel wipe, rub with tack rag,coat of plastic promoter,coat of primer, flat primer, few coats of colour and then laquer

It will take you HOURS to sand down the sidestrips properly and smoothly!

I should know, I'd been there and done that, but the end effort is worth it
