How much would it cost me to get these colour coded?

Spoiler
Bumper mouldings - front and back
Door Handles
Side trims
Bullets

Total Please!

:rasp:

How much would it cost me to do it myself? Like buying the paint!

probably about £250 at a bodyshop

no more than £70 doing it yourself (including primer/laquer/sprays/sandpaper/everything else you need)

depends.... how many layers you do. how thick u spray it on. spraying from a spray can aint as easy as it looks to....

What colors your car??

If there isnt a spray can in your car color, it will need the spray cans making, and they are about 12 quid a can!!!

I needed 2 for my side trims, would have thought it would also do the bullets, but I used a different colour. I would have a guess at 6/7 cans in your car colour, also need approx 4 of plastic primer and 4 laquer. Just my opinion though and an estimate

just buy a couple of primers/laquers/sprays to start off with, don't want to be buying too much!

p.s. wrong section :rasp:

yea, spray cans arent easy.

Need gd ventilation, gd weather, patience, loads of stuff, its not as simple as spray.

If you were doing something inside the car, i'd say go for it, but outside, i'd let a bodyshop do it personally

I did mine with halfords spray cans.

Used about 2 filler primer on side strips after rubbed down smooth, then 1 grey primer.

Probably about 3 colour and 3 laquer.

Wait untill it gets warm, I think the laquer will cloud in this weather.

Also sprayed my laquer too thick so had to sand down the runs.

Will be doing it again in the summer, But the results are quite good.

I got quoted £200 the lot today, i'm going to go with that as a pro finish will be much better but its up to you and your skill level.

youl need this website if your guna be using rattle cans, they gave me a great match with my paint and its a really fast turn around for custom paint
http://auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/

I usually use these for my paint and they were great for when I colour coded some of my car, but the last 2 times I've had to wait about 10 days for the paint to arrive and ended up sending the second lot back due to being the wrong colour and one can not even spraying.

Although I was probably just unlucky, and they've given me a full refund too

Pish weather for painting atm though as I found out this week :(
