Yeah I think they do them for the drifting guys coloured tyres with coloured smoke etc probably handle like poop in normal driving conditions

Be cool to have a nice bright yellow set to go against the dark 182 alloys tho eh !

Chavtastic !!!! lol

Ages ago there was a coloured spray or gel you put on your tyres and it had a metallic flake in it as well.

Looked awful! I know as i put some on my old rs cab.

Don't know how true this is but I read a number of years ago.....

A well-know tyre company (can't remember what one) made a series of tyres that had different coloured tread grooves in them, only available in the US or through import. Like where the groove for the wear limit is, except red, blue, yellow etc. Personally I quite liked them, very subtle but different and the colour remained through the life of the tyre.

Anyway.... apparently they were outlawed in the US because gangs where using the tyres as gang colours and committing felonies with them :S

the thing that makes tyres black is the amount of carbon in the rubber. coloured tyres contain less of this and as a result would wear quicker. So it is probably not cost effective and tyre companies would end upnot selling many after people realise how quick they wear out.

Remeber this from my mountain biking days.

yep BF goodridge did some with stripes for the yankee market, but they didn't get the E mark (well it was some sort of euro thing anyway) approval

goodyear makes coloured tyres already...
... they also make treads with a series of circle patterns rather than the 'normal' style continuous pattern you see now.
