Hi guys
Im really looking to get into photography and would like to buy a compact camera to start with before thinking about a DSLR, what should I be looking for?
I have seen this offer at Currys, and it looks like a pretty good place to start for an absolute beginner? good spec for the price?

The only thing is it doesnt appear to have any kind of control over the amount of exposure, unless ive missed it (ive been a bit inspired by a few of the long exposure shots on here!)
Should I even bother with manual exposure settings yet? or just get the feel of things first?
