Computer almost falls over when playing YT clips

This has been royally pissing me off as of late. If I play embedded YT clips, or on their site....my iMac grinds to a halt. Spinning beach ball, unresponsive....the lot. CPU usage shoots up to 12% as soon as I play a clip (that might not sound like a lot but for an i7 that is)

It's happened since a recent update, not sure which one though.

Any of you guys having this problem?

Same problem with my MBP i7 (since upgrade too)

Updated to the latest flash player and then repaired permissions and reset safari now working fine


Chrome, firefox worked fine just safari which was the problem!

How do you do the last two steps you mentioned?

I had a flash player update the other day, still the same.

Woohoo! Reseting safari seemed to do the trick.

Wish it didn't delete all my logins though

I reset safari every couple of weeks and i use a program called 1password to deal with my logins.

1password remembers all your passwords and you can log in to sites with 1 click of a button (you can also make your passwords more secure)!
