Computer startup

Basically i have a computer in another room that i leave on to download overnight. I can only download large quantitys at night as other people use the network in the day, and im also limited to how much i download at peak times. So I was wondering if its posible for the computer to turn itself on at a certain time. Its a piece of piss getting it to turn off at a certain time, but it would be handy if it could also turn itself on, as i regularly forget about it.

Anybody?

yup

when the computer is starting up press 'del' to enter setup.

try and find power options, and itl be in there. most recent motherboards (past 4/5 years) have the option of booting at a certain time on certain days or every day etc.

Damn, will have to wait until tomorrow until i can sort it, the PC i am talkin about has nothin plugged into it, i connect remotely, and at the moment i cant get access to a spair keyboard and monitor to get into bios :0(

ah well, its most likely going to be in there though so you should be ok. usually has options like... 'every day', or a single day per week or a single date... pretty useful
