condensation inside car

my mate left his door open while loading the car one night when it was raining. so loads of rain got into the footwell. soaked most of it up, but not all. now its constantly condensating on the windows anytime he goes in it.

its rank! stinks like mould!

thought id ask and see if anyone knows anything on here that might be able to help him?

dehumidifier overnight? (as long as he's got a garage). If not, you can get these plastic boxes from lakeland, they contain lots of crystals that soak up moisture, just leave a couple in the car
