Confused ICE

Will someone please explain what the following means in ICE.

Channels on Amps

Crossovers that come with speakers

channels on amps - equals in leymans terms the amount of outputs the sub has - ie. 4ch amp can power up to 4 speakers

crossovers - are used to split the frequencies of the signal sent from the head unit/amp so that the individual speaker gets the correct frequency
