Connect mp3 player not ipod

I've read on here about connecting an ipod to the standard 172 headunit via a lead.

I have a Creative Zen mp3 player, and wondered if I can connect this to the headunit? And if so what lead do I need?

Just the link cable, it plugs into the headphone socket of your mp3 player and into the CD changer port on the back of your HU.

No point buying a kit as there expensive and you wont be able to use most of the features.

I just got one of eBay for £20 but somone on here posted how to make your own the other day for about a fiver.

does your unit have cd changer port?not up to speed with the 1*2 hu's.

its exactly like a cd changer cable but with only audio cables coming out of it converted to phono then get a phono to 3.5mm jack cable (unless you can get it all as one kit)

**cant find the part online now**

Yeah I have a changer under the seat. There's a blue plug for it in the back of the h/u.

Does anyone know what I need to search for on ebay lol. Or are they standard cables you can buy in a shop like maplins?

Update List Ipod adpater lead ! (not tuner list)

That won't work as my headunit is a tuner list i believe. Can't find one on there that is for my one either. Oh well, it must just be 182's that can have it.

if yours take a cd changer find from someone what the block looks like to connect to it and then you can make one yourself
