connect to xbox live?

ive just got the wireless thing i need and plugged it in but it says not connected? why wont it connect with the router so i can set up the live? anyone know how to get it to work?

How have you connected it to your Xbox?

Its not as simple as just plugging it in.. you need to go and set it all up on the xbox and make sure your connection is visable too.

Plugged it into the back.irs picked the router up but ot wont connect to it.thats what i need to know how to do? It doesnt guide you through and say what to do

You have to go to system settings and there is something about it there!

Mine was just all automatic, just plugged it in the back, went to network settings, selected wireless network, put in WPA and then it was connected

whats wpa? its anoying its plugged in but didnt even detect that id plugged it in and just wont connect to the router even though it has picked it up

WPA is the password for your network.

Not sure if you need the WEP hex key entered into it as well. Pretty sure I had to.

cheers for the help, its sorted now i just unplugged the router then back on again and its worked

i just plugged mine in went to settings and had everything at automatic simples
