Connecting a DVD player To Parking brake

Hi, I need to connect a wire for my head unit/dvd player to the parking brake (handbrake) To determine on/off status?

How do i go about this? The car is a 2004 Clio Dynamique, And the HU is a Pioneer AVH-P5900DVD.

At the moment, IT just says the that It is illegal to watch a dvd whilst driving, As I havent connected this i presume?

Also, Lets say I was a very naughty boy, Is there anyway of connecting this so it works when driving, Not that I would do it, Or condone anyone else to as this is highly dangerous , But just curious?

On my pioneer unit I've just connected the parking sensor to a permanent earth and it fools the unit into thinking your constantly parked.

Yup thats what i did to my dvd player, simple as.

yeah just connect it to an earth, less hassle

yup fitted my misses one and just earthed it works a treat lol
