am playing with the idea weather to go for a 172 engine or not?, just wondering a rough price guide to convert a ph1 1.2? cheers

The long and short of it is no, you can buy 172's from a grand - it will cost you more than that to have the engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes and wheels fitted to your car

ok its just ive spent abit of money on interior body work ect

Buy a ph.1 172 and swap all the modified stuff over. Probably easier and cheaper.

possibly would be,,

buy a 172!! not worth the hastle of converting it!!

youll spend more than the cost of a 172
and be left with a car thats worthless!!
and it still wont have the looks/equiptment of a 172.
all the interior will be a straight swap from your current clio.

also will be a bit of a pig to insure!!

Definitely not worth doing a conversion.
