Convertible plastic rear screen product

My rear screen is neither heated nor made of modern materials and therefore steams up and doesn't displace water that well. It's also a relatively shallow angle so water doesn't necessarily bead off it at higher speeds.

What would you use inside for demist and outside for water displacement? Picture for attention...

I had really good results with regular car polish. Auto glum srp etc. cleans it up lovely and offers a pretty decent level of water repelling.

Is there an option to have a heated screen retrofitted? I imagine there must be companies that specialise in such a thing…

The Golf R boot is massive, they go really well as standard and actually return decent fuel economy - the only thing that seems to haunt them is a failed thermostat housing iirc. Although not a show stopper - worth checking its been done or negotiate it.

IMO the Leon Cupra estate is far better looking, although shares the same problem as above.
