Cookie, Becky and the D40 go to the Zoo

So, I was bored one Saturday (last Saturday as it goes) so decided to take the girlfriend and the new camera to the zoo to poke fun at monkeys and take pictures.

London Zoo is shite for pictures if you don't have a decent lens it seems (can't get close enough to the animals and there are too many cages )

Here are some of the 200 odd I took, all done with auto mode, as I still haven't learnt what all the buttons do.

Love the first Iguana one and the Giraffe looking at you, looks like he is curious.

Fair play to turtle p**n, they've got d!cks shaped like bananas and they are really pointy. Saw one in florida

not to be rude, but theyre very snap-shotty.

also... white balance! a quicker lens would have been handy aswell speshly indoors, some of them pretty long shutter speeds.
