Cookie consents and web tracking getting out of control

Something has to change in the general browsing of Internet pages - surely?

I'm trying to make my way into learning basic SQL - reading online various steps of database creation, tables, queries, that sort of thing. Yet every, single, website is riddled with the BS comment "We value your privacy" and then proceeds to list a trillion 'vendors' who I have to manually untick from tracking my browsing details.

I am under no illusion that doing ANYTHING on the web isn't tracked and recorded somewhere - which is possibly why this practice annoys me so much. Stop lying - just fcuk off and die. Why, when I'm looking for a simple one line answer, do I have to spend two to three minutes in disabling and removing consent? Why would ANY agency be interested in my basic search and retain those details for ten years?

What actually is their 'legitimate' interest? Share & sell? Data mining? Being a cnut?

And then you get pricks like these that sound as trustworthy as George Agdgdgwngo...

Maybe I'm just getting jaded with it all. It would be great to have a genuine Reject All that did exactly that - but they don't. It's not in their interest to make your 30 second page view, some form of data grab and further interrogation of your habits. About as scrupulous as pay-day lenders - that all need drowning in lava.

Websites are now a joke to navigate through.

It's like we've gone back to 2003 times again with pop ups and s**t but rather than them being actual seperate pop ups they're now integrated into the websites.

And don't even get me started on adverts on local newspaper websites. I was reading one the other day thinking it was the article it was a f**king advert!
