coolant check

hi guys i understand you can get a kit from halfords so you can check how cold the engine coolant will go down to...what is it i am looking for and what - temp does it need to be to be safe i.e so i know it dont need changing many thanks cheers

The tester will tell you on it mate

It needs to be safe to whatever the minimum temperatrue will be I'd say so long as its OK to -15 your ok.

cheers mate well my car has just turned 5 yers old but i beilve they should have been changed every 4 ...in january this year when i got the car it was tested to -21oc by the rac so i think it may have already been done
