Coolant literally pouring out...

I have a leak, it's been there a while but now it's literally pouring out. It looks like it's coming from the seal around the sump. Is that possible?

I didnt think the two were related.. Sump is for oil.. but i'm no mechanic!

I'm not either. That's what I thought maybe the water pump is leaking Down. I will soon find out.

what engine? 1.2 16V? then its the water pump

sounds like somebody didnt renew theyre anti freeze and now have a split in theyre coolant pipe sumwhere,

most probaby coming out of the water pump, so itll trickle down and drip off the sump,

if you have water coming out of your sump, then you should be asking some serious wtf questions.

whats the temp gauge saying on the dash? is it higher than middle?

on closer inspection i think its the head gasket or a core plug, fun one for the weekend...

Mine's similar, the coolant needs topping up daily, but it doesn't appear to be leaking. Everyone I've spoken to seems to think it's the head gasket. It's a 99 plate on ~85k.

Wont be the headgasket if the coolants pissing out the bottom of the block, Unless the headgasket is no going from being run low on coolant.

Yeah i nar mean, i think it must be the a core plug, im getting it towed home then i'll whip the top off
