coolant problem

My car over heated so checked the coolant levels and there was none! So quickly added some coolant and i think i have noticed a leak around the front of the engine on one of the pipes. think it may be leaking so went to book it into the garage and told them and they were like it will take 4 hours if it your radiator!!!

Can they check for any problems/leaks with out taking the whole thing apart? Because if it wa just the pipe then can they fit it with oiut taking radiator out? I have to wait a week aswell so have to keep checking levels and filling up when needed.

could it be the cap of the radiator? the coolant went out so quick on my previous car, i thought i was leak or what, but its only coz of the radiator cap...

where s that. is that just the screw top on the bottle where you fill it up or else where??

Space is a pain on the car they cna pressure test it for you though if needs to be to find the leak.

check the thermostat housing hose, ive seen them perished many ah times
