Cooling System leak - Help !!! what is this ???

Can anyone help me out and tell me what this white plastic bolt looking thing next to the radiator is please ???

that me boy is a non genuine radiator with a blanking plug, take it out, silicone it up and whack it back in

Well i know the guy before me had the radiator replaced with a non genuine one as have the receipt, which doesnt really bother me - or should it :s ??

Any particular silicone sealant ie. high temp - or will just standard be fine ??

yeah high temp, you can buy a new plug from GSF etc for a few ££ should have a new O-ring with it

could find someone breaking a 172 and pick up a genunie rad for cheap!

Would you recommend buying a new plug and siliconing it before i fit it ???

And cba getting a new rad fitted tbh lol

Thanks for the help guys - couldnt find one anywhere from any motorfactors,

in the end had a brain wave and went to a plumbing merchants and picked up a brass flange thingymibob for £1.20 perfect fit,
