Corrupt file, help needed! (.wps)

The better half has a major problem, she has a full days work on a wps file and its now saying the file is corrupt!

I have tried various different programs but still have the same problem! Can any one offer any help on how to recover/restore the file?

Try it on another computer mate. My missus' laptop decided it didn't want to open a couple of her essays, saying the exact same thing. Worked fine on my computer though, and I just re-saved it and send the new save back to her. Worked fine after that.

Is it an MS Word document?

What operating system is it on? Windows XP/2K...?

wps is a MS works format

Ok, if you're using works to open the file, try saving a duplicate copy of it as .rtf and reopening it?

Or try a WPS file converter ..something like this

Or, you could try and open it with open office, then re-saving the doccument.

Yea as Jacko said its on Works and Im using Vista. Will give those suggestions a go just now and see how I get on
