Cost of Renault Sport Backbox?

Any ideas on how much a standard Renault Clio Sport 172 backbox from Renault is?

You can buy the Backbox from renault. IIRC it's around £90 Give ur local dealer a ring.

Yeah will do but they wanted my chassis number which i didnt have to hand as im at work.

I have heard that the K-Tec stealth is not as good as the Yozza, but the Yozza is £429!!!

Is that a generic code for a 172 back box then? I think mine has started blowing and at the moment with needing new front discs and pads I can't afford a K-Tec Stealth.

Can you confiirm that a back box can be removed and a new one fitted and that it doesnt all have to be replaced as one unit, as is mentioned by msa197 a few posts up? It certainly seems a bit OTT...

That's part of the VIN that they need to identify a PH2 172 on the dialogys part list. Not the part number of the back box. The original exhaust is all 1 piece, but for replacement they supply the backbox and centre section separately. If they didn't u'd have to drop the rear axle out to fit! Make sure they sell you a clamp for joining to the centre section!

I'll post the part numbers up when I get home tonight!

Yes, they are all separate part numbers! So if ur centre sections fine u only need the back box and clamp!

I only ask because I've read stories of people going into dealerships and being told they can't have one thing without the other. Like, a 182 splitter without the 182!

In two minds now whether to go for a Yozzasport stealth exhuast at that cost! Might go pay a visit on Friday and see how they sound. Do you know how much they are fitted?

Fitting you can do your self, otherwise an hours labour max? Id get the aftermarket system as the standard one rusts and drops off a couple of years later. Getting yozza/ktec is a long term investment Dont rule out GDI too...i have there stealth system and its by far the most fav sound ive heard in a clio. NOt being biased when i say that as im the first person to put my car down for something wrong.
