As far as I remember, fromt he footage, the passenger rear wheel managed to just drift onto a bit of gravel on the edge of the road, at a f**king insane speed, sending the car off into the field for a few rolls. Ripped the passenger door open IIRC too.

Lee suffered a serious spinal injury and was in hospital for quite some time, and has made a brilliant recovery

thats when the car was in white and orange.

I remember I was on the motorway once having picked up my Clio Williams 3. An Escort Cosworth pulled off the slip road and then flew past me in the fast lane, wastegate chatter and the high pitched fluttering was mental. Sounded awesome. Obviously tuned quite a bit.

Yup, nice to look at... wouldn't want to own one to drive. Probably why most are concours editions.

That said i'm sure there are a few modded ones that are stunning to drive.

Take off the re-circ dumpvalve and you can have all the "wastegate chatter" you want (its actually the air just tw*tting back into the spooled turbo blades), add a cone filter and its even better.

Its loosely based on the 4x4 saph floorpan, but shortened by a few inches. The handling on them can be EASILY upgraded on them these days, with the likes of the ZOO rear beams and a decent set of coils. As with most things, a properly set up one would mate utter mincemeat out of a lot of cars on the road that are 4 times the price

I'd have one any day of the week, but i dont have £15k spare, nor do i have a garage to keep the f**ker in
