Could one of these be used to control the heater blower speed?

I've fitted a Cup blower to my 172 but it doesn't work as they're wired differently.

Electrics aren't my strong point.

Could something like this be used to regulate the speed of the blower if I splice it into a switched live?

Yes, similar concept to how the oem climate control works. You'll need to test the oem blower fan but I think you'll need something rated to higher than 3A.

Super. How/what should I check?

If only I could get the oem working. I'm hoping a Cup engine loom mated to my ff interior loom will work. Doubt it though.
