Just a quick one i'm looking at getting a clio cup pretty quickly as I'm waiting for a compensation payout from the MIB for my accident last year in my zetec s fiesta...so I have set about looking for a good finance deal so I dont have to put my savings into a car until my payout comes......i rang ian shipton and they do 0% finance which is perfect!! they have a 04 plate clio cup 172 for sale....£9999 with 11k miles on it!! What the hell!!! Is that normal as I'm sure we are in the year 2007!! and cups should be less than this? Any ideas?

Should be less than that but they have factored in interest to the capital amount of the car. Check out autotrader.co.uk to see what you should be paying for a Cup.

ive been looking around at 172 cups for a few months now and you can get them for £6.5-7k 03plate with 20-25k miles in mint condition. max i would say is £8k for 04 plate with 11k miles on.
personally i wuldn't pay that much for a 172 as your into 182 money with low miles.
have a shop round im certain you will find something cheaper!!!

Dont spend more than 5.5-6.5k on a cup, regardless of age. They age well, and all you're paying for is a newer plate on an identical car.

I came from a ZS to a 172 and never looked back its an awesome upgrade, its everything the ZS lacks.
Dont get me wrong the ZS is a great little car, cheep parts but no point trying to tune one imo
The RS Clio's are just a different league tho. Shop about, some one on here got a ph1 172 for just over 2k!

It was all a big mix up with the garage...when i rang up asking for 172 cup he quoted me the price for the 182 cup......however i bought the 182 cup only 11k on the clock woo hoo
