yep u know the isle of man too well
loads.....loads of undercovers aswell.
and loads of people that report you for the littlest of things
and then in tt week we have loads from accross/germany/france etc
yeah, there was a mix up of who had paid for the campsite in IOM when we went, over a couple of quid..............police were waiting at the docks for us!! lol
All the islands are the same lol.
Yeah everyone knows everyone.
And you can't do anything without someone knowing i guess ?

The cops over there maybe have better things to do unlike up here
People are getting pulled for German, french style plates a alot of the time
How come the coppers come from france, germany etc during tt ?

Whats the cost of living like over there ?

because a lot of the the bikers that come over are french or german and often dont speak a word of english. you have the think the population of the island doubles or even more i think in TT week over here, so there is alot more traffic/drunken idiots over here for the police force to cope with
Cost of living over here is the equaliant to living in central london i heard a few years back, but at times i think its higher. There is little or no competition over here due to various laws in place to use local products as much as poss, the likes of milk/bread/types of meat so basically the supermarkets set the prices. Same with telephone companies, they like to back local over here.
As for house wise u cant get anything under £170k

yep tt races are well buy not just from europe, loads from america come over.
too right time for B&B and people let out spare rooms in there house or there whole house if they are away on the holiday for 70-100 pppn, campsite are full and the football clubs etc rent there fields out as campsite, the whole place is heaving.
yup we have road tax unfortunately but only pay about 150 a year i think. cant remember the last time i had to renew my tax as ive had so many cars theses past few years.
living over here is very similar to living in england but very small, lower income tax and of course the most important bit, lack of speed limit.
tbh i love the isle of man and would need a very good reason to move off it. but i do miss the whole getting away from things at weekend. in england if u wanna get away for the weekend it only costs u the hotel and petrol. where as here, u have to pay 170 to get ya car off the island before u even think about where to go.
