couple of things....sensors

right, where the CTS plugs in on the valver there seem to be two other sensors? what are they called as i think they might be contributing to the idle problem. when i unplug all three sensors the car idles at 500 but steady as a rock without any fluctuating. plug the CTS back in and its still fine-plug the other 2 back in and it goes funny again. what are they called?

any pics. there will be the injection coolant temp sensor and the instrument panel temp gauge sensor. not sure on the third sensor/connector unless its the oxygen sensor connector. some pics would help if you can mate.

yeah, i realise its a bit hard to explain without pics.ill try and get some 2moro.

one of them was underneath the CTS to the right and the other was above the CTS.

i know what u mean, let me look for a pic!

did u say u had the potentiometer adjusted mate????

i got it all fully reset etc and it was fine while it was there. when i started it up from cold the next morning it ran fine for about 5 minutes then went funny again.

oh, iv changed my map sensor, and ecu today as well. idles a tad low after blipping the throttle for a few seconds but after 5 mins or so idles spot on for about 10mins even if i rev it, the revs drop nice and slow! iv not been for a drive yet though to test it properly! although iv put some superduper metal bonding paste stuff on the crack. fingers crossed it should hold and ill fill it up.

bizzare mate, feking annoying problem is this!

do u have a power boost valve?

ive got one but never got round to getting it fitted. it is a bloody annoying thing in that it doesnt affect the running of the car once its warm. as soon as the temp gauge moves off the bottom its fine and idles spot on-no problems at all.perhaps i need some superduper paste too mate, lol
