Covered under warranty??

My old mans 2 year old Vauxhall Vivaro (same as renault trafic) has only covered 71k miles and the tensioner has seazed on the alt belt causing it to break and knock the timing belt out aswel, seems to have buggered up the engine pretty good, would anyone hazard a guess as whether this will be covered or not under vauxhall warranty. It has no vauxhall service history but has a full book of stamps from a local mechanics. I think the cambelt was due at 72k!!

Might be worth trying for a contribution from Vauxhall.
Its the 2.2 engine I take it I'm sure Matts got some brand new ones in stock if so.

If its been serviced by a VAT registedd garage and the books stamped and proper Vauxhall parts are used themmthe warently is still in place (no idea what warently on those vans though).
