CPL question

I bought a CPL after not having one for ages and took a couple of shots with it today. I had the choice between removing the reflections from the front window or from the side of the car. I chose the side but is there a car photography etiquette that says you should always clear the windscreen?

I wouldn't say that you HAD to clear the windscreen, but i sometimes do. Taking two shots with windscreen clear then the side windows clear and blend together in Photoshop is possible.
