CPU Problem!?

Hi, since fitting my new CPU everything was fine. It showed up at the correct speed of 1800mhz 1.8ghz blaa blaa blaa and since installing my new gfx card it now shows up as a 1.35ghz proccessor or 13500mhz.

Is it sorted by a little setting in the bios OR gfx drivers ?

I'm slightly confused

Probs just the FSB setting in the BIOS has changed.

SOunds like a BOIS setting, take the gfx card out and see what speed it reads then... Most likely the FSB speed has changed..

1.35 ghz, sounds like BIOS has changed, is the BIOS auto configuring?
If it is, go in and manually reset it.

yeah its AMD and i can only pressume its automatically setting the settings. I'll have a look in the BIOS now and see what its on. am i right in thinking it will vary between 100mhz -200mhz and will go in 1mhz steps?

Depending on what type of processor it is, you could try manually setting the FSB in bios. My old PC is currently running at 266mhz (AMD Athlon XP 3200+). Be aware that chageing your bios can totally fuk your PC so, make sure you have the right cooling any check and documentation you have.

CPU Clock = 100

Min = 100
Max = 230

then asks for a hex code. same with gfx card etc. i've changed settings to manual though.

NVIDIA GeForce 6200 256MB

Also; the aperature size for the AGP slot is set to 64MB...should i change that to 256?
