Cracked Gearbox

Noticed fluid leaking from my recently acquired 172 cup so got it on some ramps and found this which I'm assuming is new gearbox time??;

Yeah, think I hit a rock or something in the road which has basically torn it open.

I'm pretty new to Renaults so any gearbox advise would be appreciated!

Am I right in saying I will need a gearbox from another cup as the ratios are different? Will I have to match gearbox codes with the existing one? If I'm swapping the box is it worth doing any other jobs/maintenance at the same time?
