Cracked spring?

Pulling off the drive there was a knock noise almost like i'd dropped off a kerb or pothole. Now the car is sitting lower at the front os. Guessing its a cracked spring, anything else it could be? Not had chance to check it yet only happend this morning and I'm at work.
