Crail 1/4 mile strip

Anyone ever taking their clio down the 1/4 strip at crail?

If so what times were u managing to get? What mods was it with if you had any?

Thinking about maybe doing it this month or next in the cup just to see what i get!

I went to santa pod 2 weeks ago and managed 14.6 on the 1/4 mile.

I thought that was impressive, i have a clio 172 with a 182 engine installed, pipercross air filter and de-cat exhaust.

I don't think that the 182 engine is much different to the 172, if anything the 172 engine had faster acceleration.... the 182 one seems to rev higher though.

Sounds like you have a good one m8....Kev and Paddy have both got around that time in totally standard 172's and Flaming Monkey got one in his standard Cup. I'm guessing the 14.6 was around 93ish? maybe a little more...at crail a 14.6 would have a terminal speed of about mach 3 as tends to happen there lol

isnt it the same engine with a different map and manifold, 4-2-1 instead of a 4-1 iirc

Crails good for the banter mate..last time i was up i was running 15's although i was running two up all day, should be good for high 14's on a good day

Never been but keep meaning to go as I want to see what the hybrid can run down the 1/4 mile. Anyone have any idea whats on at crail over July/August as I may try and head along if I can get off work for a weekend.

Can't make the 3rd but I might try and make it on the 17th August. With a little more strippage I would be hoping for low 14's but with it being my first time on the 1/4 mile I'll just have to wait and see.
