Creaking from front end under steering

  Dodgy one
Fearing the worst lol,

I hit a pot hole on my way back from alton towers yesterday, ever since doing it my cars developed an intermittent creak while turning the steering wheel slightly up to 30mph ish,

Are there any comon faults with the 182s with regards to the steering rack? Im thinking its possibly shafted the top mount or even cracked the chassis too

Springs fine and it felt stable on my way home on the motorway, Just asking before i get under the bloody thing again

  LY 182
only logical thing i can come up with is top mount, possibly bent shock absorber..

you wont have cracked anything, wont have done anything to the rack, its unlikely wishbone bushes have suffered, same with ball joints and wouldnt give those symptoms..

best thing you can do imo is give it a simple front end checkover, basically jack that side up grab hold of the wheel up down left right and see if anything moves about.

if you cant see anything get the tracking checked, that will show up a discrepency in the shock as a camber possibly castor problem
