cruise control problem

Dear fellow mates,
my cruise control for my 182 is giving me headache, it had problems before and it's fixed. now when i switch the car on the cruise control is working, but when i drive for a while and try to switch the cruise control on again , it won't, i had to switch the car off and on again. i went to the workshop, he kept saying that it's ok. so anything i can do because this guy thinks everything is right and he's the only one here in qatar. so if you guys know how to fix this please help.

thank you

Sorry i haven't encountered any problems with mine, but,

Have you tried lookin at the accelerator petal?? They have a switch thingy/sensor on as well?? this might be causing you some problems.:S

the accelerator pedal has a switch ???? i didn't know that ! all i knew is that the whole cruise control circuit is connected with the clutch and the brake pedals. i'll check the accelerator pedal switch, any other suggestions people ???? please

To be honest, I don't know if there is on a clio.
But there is one on a Range Rover. Just a thought!!

Something to do with if you want to over take whilst on cruise cnt, drop the pedal, over take, then return to your set speed.

That switch is for when you are in speed limiting mode and you wanna overtake, push your accelerator down fully until it clicks and then it won't limit your speed no more.

Arh but there is a sensor there, otherwise how would the c/c know that you've put your foot down?? The limiter is at the bottom on the acc pedal movement.
