Cruise control problem

Just got my Clio 182, and I have been testing out the cruise control, however it doesnt stay on, it clicks off and wont set.

Any ideas?

My cruise control button does that too. Sometimes it works and sometimes it dont. I think i read somewhere that a dealer will try giving you a new dash :S at a high cost.
Feels like it might be the spring behind the button. hmmmmm not sure.

the switches can be trouble easy way to find out is to get a renault computer in the car with you and it will detect the switch being pressed if your not so you'd need to fix the switch etc.

Happened a few times to mine. Was the brake switch. When you touch your brake pedal, the cruise turns off. If the switch (behind the brake pedal IIRC) fails, then cruise randomly turns off.
