Crunching gears at high revs-help please

  Clio 182 FF w/Cup packs
Has anyone had crunching noises when changing gears at high revs? My Ph1 172's gear lever is quite sloppy and the problem happens changing form 2nd to 3rd, and 3rd to 4th. Just intrigued if its the linkage what needs adjusting or if the synchro's are knackered.

Any advice welcome.

Cheers

Steven

Not sure, just had car for a week, but it's not slipping and does feel quite good.

if its still on its original clutch it could be work and not fully disengauging, the ratchet mech on the pedal takes up slack so you dont notice it like other cars.

And changing at high rpm depends on technique, you can get some people changing nastilly and either take too long (and the rpm drops too much) or you can change too fast.

More than likely, if its been abused and the previous driver changed gears like a speed demon, then you will have worn sync;s.

Cheers for advice.I was hoping it's not the synchros.Probably v.expensive at dealer. I'll get the linkage sorted anyway, it's far too sloppy for my liking.
