Cup getting slower by the day

  Rangerover Supercharged

HELP

People im getting more pissed off by the day, my cup is getting slower and slower, the performance is well down, i came back from Prague last night and took it out for a blast, I was well dissapointed, I have had a look under the car for any signs of damage, always use optimax, checked the oil level, nothing seems to stand out as causing the problem.

Walked into a Renault dealor this morning to be told I could book the car in but it would be 5 weeks before they could look at it.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong, I cant wait 5 weeks.

Try an ECU reset mate...

Disconnect the battery for about an hour and it will clear the memory and reset back to factory defaults, then "re-learn" the setup for your engine very quickly.

Just take it out for a spin, let it warm up for a few miles, then give it some stick and see if its any better.

poundrick - call round some other dealerships, 5 weeks is stupid. Even in busy S/East i only have to wait 3 weeks!

Could it just be feeling slower because of the warm humid weather.

When I had my valver rrd (one was monday, one was friday) the measured (Not corrected) figure was 2-3bhp lower as it was 6 degrees higher that day.

I know my car doesnt feel that quick in summer but on a cold winters night its fecking rapid!

Youre probably just getting used to the performance.

My car felt like a rocket because I owned a 1.2 before that. It doesnt feel nearly as quick as it did when I first owned it.

Power figures can change and are not really an accurate way of telling if a car is sick.

TIME is a constant factor - so use it. Do a couple of 0-60 runs with a mate and a stopwatch - if your hitting the 6.5-7.0 second mark on flat ground there is nothing wrong with your car.

my 172 felt really down on power, no 5k rush just gutt-less, put it on the rollers and it was doing 164 at the fly on a hot day (cant remember what it was at the wheels), it just felt rubbish though. took it into reno and they told me the fueling was out so played with the ecu and bobs your uncle back to how it used to be.

difference with mine was i had changed the zorst but the drop off was over quite a time, not as soon as the zorst was changed?
