Cup holder and gearshift surround removal

Hi - does anyone know how to remove the large plastic section around the gearstick and cup holders as I want to paint it racing blue. Can't seem to find any screws???

Remove the ashtray and pull the cup holder section up and disconnect the cig lighter. Then pull the gear gaiter off the plastic and then pull it off each side. Hard to explain really but there are clips at the front of it and then just a velcro'd bit at the back.
