Custom Number Plate

Okay, I hope this is the right section.
I got bought a custom plate for Christmas, and I'm away to ring the DVLA this afternoon, anyone had one before and know how long the process takes before I can stick the new ones on?

Do you have the registration on certificate?

Take your V5, MOT and Tax disc to your DVLA office and they'll do it there and then.

Check the DVLA site to see if they are open/do on the spot reg transfers.

Yeah, got it on certificate of registration etc.

DVLA office is in Swansea, isn't it?

Bit of a journey from London!

Mine only took just over a week to come back, I got mine 2 weeks before Christmas and it was on 4 days before

Instead of buying through the internet? Although thats probably the best bet, because it will be a couple of weeks 'til it's on my car.

Romac and most car shops similar to this sell them... If you want a no hassle no forms to send off one Donny market and places like this do them while you wait but I would expect to be pulled over with them... On saying this my girlfriends dad has had a illegally spaced and illegally made plate on his car for 10 years and not had and problems...

thougt it was required for all but I'm not sure to be honest matey... If you have a bit of time to wait then I'd just go on demon plates or fancy plates as you can choose exactly what you are wanting... You can choose size as well 3/4 plates etc...

If you want legal with no hassle, look on ebay for a seller called IanandKaren, (flashplates i think it is). You just buy the plates, send him your reg and in a day or two you will have them through your letter box.

I have used them for 3 sets of plates now

Used him before. Ordered 4:30 on a Thursday and they arrived 9am Friday. Only cost £10 all in for a full set too.
