Custom Parcel Shelf

Im gonna make my own parcel shelf so I put my Infinity Kappas underneath, but what thickness of MDF should I use? 1/2in? 3/4in? 1in? ???

Any help would be appreciated,

probably best to use 3/4" mdf, 1" is a bit of overkill, though you could get away with 1/2"
