Samco or SFS. Neither are very quick though, and both are expensive.SFS would be marginally quicker I think they work on a 3 week turnaround at the moment ( I spoke to them the other day). What exactly do you need mate? You might be able to do a custom plumbing job by putting a few off the shelf bends together
Errr Samco go up to something around there but youll be looking at around £40. If its just a 100mm pipe that you need and the material isnt important, then go to Homebase or B&Q - in the plumbing/ventilation section youll find 100mm expanding alu hose, just the job, and it does pretty tight bends and holds its shape, its strong. £8 for a bit that stretches out to 1.5 metres.
Well it depends what you want it for and how long it needs to be. Any kind of 100mm hose in silicone is gonna be a 5-ply job that will cost an absolute fortune and you wont get very sharp bends either. Is your TB the same as mine? I had that same idea of ovalising the 100mm pipe I got, and putting it over the entire TB, but it was a couple of mm too big and the pipe wouldnt stretch!
I think I know what Brun is up to coz I was thinking of the same kind of thing.
I was going to be one of those Twister air filters - the ones with the aluminium heat shield and then plumb it in using silicon hose. Like Brun said it would require a 100mm diameter hose going through a reducing elbow to about 85mm.
The cost put me off though. Also what about the crank case breather hose? Should you fit a pipercross filter directly? Or keep the 1 way return valve and stick the filter on the end of the pipe thats ther? Or shorten it? Or try and cut a hole in the silicon hose going to the filter and then plumb the crank case hose into that?

I reckon weve got a lot more room to play with under the bonnet, the only promlem being that any filter we use, CDA/Twister etc, will have to come down right from the top of the engine bay. A big induction feed will be needed, but I suppose so long as it fits when the bonnet is closed it should work. Will need to sort out some method of mounting it though
Yeah on a 1.4 you got the bonus of a lot more room to play with. Because my hose is just thin walled super flexible stuff, I cant really put a reliable solid connection in the side of it for the two pipes that usually go in there. Mine has one connection for the idle speed valve and one for the crankcase breather. I can see no reason why you cant just whack a breather filter onto the idle speed valve; that way it gets filtered air, problem solved. The crankcase breather should really be plumbed back into the inlet tract but seeing as I cant do that, Ive just put a breather filter on the end of there as well. It seems to work fine.
the crank case breather could easily be plumbed into the IK, i can get hold of BSP threads for £1 in most sizes
i was gonna use the cold air feed from my removed foglight to feed it, which im sure would be good
cheers Nick for the prices, the 90 degree elbow would be perfect, you can get filters that are 100mm so it wouldnt matter about reducing as long as the filter fits, which im sure it would, all id need then is some sheet aluminium to make a heat shield cone around it
ill have to wait til i get paid but i think this can be done
hehe Ben you have a lot to learn young apprentice...the modding master knows that with only one foglight out you will be 100x more hardcore than having it symmetrical. You dont see Mat B on the 1/4 mile with *both* headlights out do you?
Seriously though, I know what you mean, I had this exact dilemma last year when I was contemplating this sort of thing. In the end I did run with only one foglight for a couple of weeks and then realised that it looked a bit odd, on top of which one foglight on its own didnt give proper beam coverage anyway. So I took out the other fog and blanked off the hole with sheet aluminium. Ive got to say that did look pretty hardcore - a serious front end!
In the end I chopped out both the foglight holes a lot bigger and then meshed the whole lot over.
