Custom throttle bodies

carbs are tic toc technology, why anybody would fit them in 2008 to a car is beyond me.

Even TB's from a bike are a faff. after youve got the manifold sussed, you ideally want them spaced, then make a linkage to suit, then have longer trumpets made,
imo your better of just paying the extra, getting something which fits with ease like ITB's from Jenvey on an off the shelf manifold, off the shelf everything.

Unless your going to go to the effort of actually having them CNC produced for a specific application, I wouldnt bother with anything other than off-the-shelf.

You'd have to make linkages for the bike carbs but Im fairly sure you'd be able to buy the correct trumpets for them as there is a million different sizes out there for DCOE's.

For cheapness, you cant beat bike ITB's! Stan, he need to make something for his uni projec so that rules Off the shelf out.

i would have to design and make it all myself as it is for a project at uni. and i do have access to a cnc machine, lathes and welders

Bike bodies are in daft diameters though lol.
DOnt get me wrong, they have their uses,,,,but they arent on the top of the list for me, personally.
Having said that, we are using some on a 5.6l V8 ive built...for a Dax Rush!

i had a thought probly a crap one but what about something like the gdi single throttle bodie jobby? a custom inlet manifold and bigger throttle bodie off another car? wouldnt be as good as itbs but its a thought?

I know yeah, lol. It's the cost which is inviting though, 1.5k vs 3-4k!
