cut the wires? f**king alarm!

  535d / t5 caravelle
right! my immobilliser is on and wont let me start the car, thing is its an old alarm which i stopped using around 6 months ago as it kept locking me out of the car and going off all the time, so now my car is stuck at home and wont start, so what the f**k do i do? lol, i need to disconnect it, i've tried turning the alarm off under the bonnet but it still wont start, my options so far are:

a/ get a mobile alarm company to come and fit a new alarm at the cost of £300 notes.

b/ get someone to come out and disconnect it maybe? and at what cost?

c/ ????????? as title, which i'm swaying towards at the minute, and disconnecting the battery and cutting through the wires to the alarm box:eek: will this work or just f**k things up even more?

d/ ???????????????????

luckily i can borrow my mums car for the week, but i still need my car mobile asap!

cheers

If you have a backup battery and cut the cable then it'll go off till the power dies - so it's one way of doing it! I'd get a new alarm fitted as if nothing else you can get *slightly* cheaper insurance.

If the immobiliser is part of the alarm then don't go cutting wires for a start. You'll need to establish where and how the immobiliser is immobilsing so you can circumvent it.
