Cutch problems

Ive just been to see a second hand car that im thinking of buying. The car seems in good condition for its age, but while i was driving i thought the clutch seemed a bit slippy. However, this was when i first got in the car and may be due to my inexperience with this particular car. It didnt judder when i pulled away and reverse and all the other gears engaged fine. No crunchy gear changes and it only happened on 2 gear shifts when i first got in the car. The car has done 87,000 and had a nes clutch at 47,000. This is the only thing that worried me about the car. Any suggestions. It was a CRX 1.6 16v. And it was very quick.

having not driven the car i cant really help.

Up to you mate, 40k on a clutch is fine......unless the previous owner has a fetish for slipping the clutch.

When your in the car set off from standstill in second gear at about 4000rpm, if the engine doesnt stall the clutch is shagged!
