damaged suspension?

Hi hope someone can help? I have a clio 59 plate RS and stupidly clipped an island in the road, very lightly but needed two nearside tyres and obviously scuffed the wheels.I was hoping that was it but there now seems a knocking, crashy type of noise when I run over a pot hole from the front nearside wheel only. Apart from this nothing else seems different, ie it steers and brakes as usual.A mate said the wishbone could be damaged, but any thoughts would be really appreciated.Cheers fellas

Take it for a 4 wheel alignment to see if its been bent at all, and get it onto an MOT ramp with shaker plates so that you can see if there is any play where there shouldnt be.
