I heard a guy in renault wolverhampton the other day talkin about his vee gettin arse ended and he is fixing it himself.

At dealer prices that's a lot more then 3-4k. I have a friend who had a rear bump in a V and all that was visible was a crack in the bumper, and the back box was dented and pushed forward. It looked like nothing but the cost was massive.

Replacing those side pods which are bonded to the body won't be cheap, his was a lot more than that and they didn't even need touching.

A good fibreglass sepcialist/coachbuilders would be able to rebuild a crack wing, if you had the bits...... or you could get one off another damaged car....

at a push, id go for that no being a write off.

Nah that's defo not Wolverhampton. Does look a lot like Sutton Park Renault though.

look at my first 182. Didn't look that bad but it had £7200 worth of damage. It was only body damage too!

Sounds about right to me having heard how much it came to with a lot less damage than that!

i saw one in a spray shop being repaired by them but sent by renault and it was having both sides replaces and all the bk end he told me just the cost of one side piece is over 1k thats without fitting flushing and spraying

someones had fun!!! did they forget it was rear wheel drive!!!

as for writing it off they probably will, to give an idea the front wings cost over 2 grand!! i would guess a rear quarter would be similar in price!!

There a definate write off I'd say the V6 panels as people have said earier are realy expensive.
Another forum members V6 of here was written off after the side panel was damaged and that was a brand new Mk1 V6 (that was when the Mk1 was the new one).

Replica panels will do, although they may not fit as they should straight away you can make them fit and look exactly the same.
